Clutch hard to press?
OK I posted this on TTORA and got a few good responses but I'd just like to know if anyone else has had this problem before. Basically my clutch pedal is really hard to press, I'm getting no weird habits coming from it, it's just tough to push in. Has anyone else had this type of problem before? Thanks for any help!

I had this problem on my 91 runner - it would get really hard to press and it felt like the engagement point would move out further as it happened. I took it to numerouos dealers and their solution was always the same -- adjust the pedal freeplay -- it would always eff it up even more. After ~3 years, I finally found a mechanic in denver that knew his ลลลล - he popped the hood and cracked a valve on the clutch master cylinder and viola - it felt perfect again. It proved that the master cylinder was not releasing pressure completely. Replaced the master and it felt like a brand new truck again!
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

I would do a flush of the clutch master, slave, and lines. This will tell you if you have fluid pressure at the slave, and potentialy loosen any blockage. If the problem still persists or you find no fluid out of the slave bleeder screw, then you will need to open the line at the master to see if you have flow out of the master. If no flow from master it is most likely the master. If you do have flow, then it is most likely blockage in the line, or the slave. (If you then open the line at the slave and fluid flows, it is most likely the slave. If no flow, then it is most likely the line)
