hey guys i currently run 245/75/r16's and was thinking of going up a size 265/75/r16's.. i have no mods on this truck, everything is stock. can i run this tire without rubbing and etc??

yes it is a 4x4.... will it rub on tight turns or rub the fenders while flexing?

I never noticed any significant rub when turning, and you'll only rub when you're completely stuffed in the rear. I ran my 03 like that for a couple years, with no problems.

I think in all those pics I had the 3" suspension lift on, but I put the lift on after I put on the tires, and I don't recall any issues other than what I already posted...

nice picks... what is the differenc in 265/75/16 and 265/70/16's ???

Slightly different ratio in the size of the tire. A 265/70r16 is roughly a 31/10.50 (depending on the manufacturer). A 265/75r16 is roughly a 32/10.50. It's an approximate comparison, but that's basically it. You'll find that the 265/75's fill up the wheel well a little nicer, but with no major issues. When I lifted my truck, it still looked pretty decent. But be careful... Once I lifted it, then I wanted to go with a little bit bigger tires. I went to the 285's. But once I did that, I wanted a little more room for those 285's, so I put on a 2" bl. It's an addiction, man! Seriously, I'd say go for it.

oh lord i cant have an addiction.. i cant afford it lol.. i make teacher's pay.. just the bigger tires will do. ill run a set and if like it ill stick with it if not ill go back down to the 245/75/16... the 265/70/16's are the same height but wider by one inch. and the 265/75/r16's are an inch taller and wider than the 245/75/r16's

No worries. Any idea what brand you're going with? I went with BFG's because of their reputation in the kind of terrain I wheel in here in the desert, but for you over on the other side of the states, there's a handful of probably better choices. Nitto's are pretty awesome from what I've heard, and a lot of guys like the Kumho AT's.

yeah either the kumho AT (kl-78's) or the terra grapplers in 265/75/16.. best tires for the $$.. i drive alot of highway miles.. ALOT! i hardly drive off road but when i do its pure red mud and BF at's are not great in red mud. gotta love good ole carolina red clay!! keep the tires moving fast or your butt gonna get stuck!!

Yeah, the AT's aren't the best in that sticky mud. We have a lot of pointy plants and sharp rocks around here, so the 10 ply tread and 3 ply sidewall of the BFG's make them worth it...

mkgarrison5 here is my 04 with 265/75/16 on it..I have some rub when I turn left and in dips..It is very minor you will have to remove the mudflaps if have not already did..

Good call on the flaps. I totally forgot about that. I also had to remove mine...
