There is also a new player on the market since I posted that list last summer.
CBI Off-Road introduced 3rd Gen. rear bumper to their line up of Toyota bumpers. 4Runner: $599 - bumper, $299 - swing-arm, $120 - double gas can holder (Hi-Lift mount is included) Attachment 185562 Tacoma: I'll verify the price http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...0049.sized.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle..._installed.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...mper.sized.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...28done0007.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...1779.sized.jpg $599 - bumper, $399 - swing-arm http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...3259.sized.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...1783.sized.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...4/IMG_2513.jpg http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/galle...an03.sized.jpg |
In case you interested, the only bolt-on options for 4Runner are (Tacoma should be using same options as well):
Front: - ARB - Shrokworks Rear: - Irbis - CBI |
FYI: THIS IS NOT A 4X4LABS REAR BUMPER. It was built for me by a local fab guy using 4x4labs spindle and latch. However, 4x4labs does build rear bumpers for the 3rd Gen--and they are top notch bumpers...but you have to call/email for current pricing and they do need the vehicle on-site.

Sweet thread
What about Badlands bumpers?

Here is a 3rd gen 4runner rear bumper that is almost ready for public consumption...
Prototype 3rd Gen 4runner Bumper http://overlandinnovations.com/image..._4_smaller.jpg This was built for my truck as a prototype by John's Welding and Fabrication out of Tyler, Texas. They will have a website up soon and I will update here. The production model will be slightly different: slightly shorter height on the sides, a little lighter, and will offer a tire carrier option. I'll get pics when they are available. No specifics on price yet, but expect it will be in line with the others listed. |

-Ferg- I didn't know about it. When I was doing my research a year ago, I was looking around several forums and Internet. I don't remember where I got this image from, but that place refered it to be 4x4Labs. Thank you for clarification and sorry if it affected you in any way. |
great thread--!!!!Thanks for putting it together-

Thanks for all the input guys! Hopefully this can be a reference to all newcomes and experienced Toyota owners hoping to add an off road bumper to their rig. I've spent a long time looking around and sorting through a lot of stuff to get all the options I couple before I buy myself a bumper, so hopefully I have saved some others the time!
BTW- I know I have to be missing some, anyone feel free to chime in if you see ones missing! |
