Bugs?

I'll be driving from Daytona to Duluth, MN (1800 mi. each way) and won't be able to wash them off every night. I'm planning on extra wax up front, but I was curious if there was anything else you would recommend?

How about each time you fill with gas,

WD-40 will help remove the bugs if they get too thick....

Whats going on in Duluth?

Go down to your local Honda motorcycle store and pick up a can or 2 of Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish. $5.00 a can and this stuff will clean 'em off and make your hood shiny too. Just spray it on, let it sit about 30 seconds and wipe. Bugs Be Gone.

I've been using it to clean bugs off my fairing and chain lube of the rear wheel. It seems to work on anything.

clean your wiper blades and windshield every time you fill up with gas. Along with that, try and clean your headlights, it does make a difference.
Hope this helps.
Have A safe trip.

Thanks for the advice everybody.

How about a preventative measure? almost like a chemical bug shield or something?

PAM Non-Stick cooking spray. :scared: I read it in Stuff or Maxim.

just use PAM cooking spray. if it's good enough to keep the rubber from sticking to the grill in million dollar race cars, it's good enough to keep the bugs off our trucks :)

edit: oops, should have kept reading all the posts, it would have kept me from repeating the answer :)

I 3rd ther cooking spray idea,I tried it on my Eclipses front end before a summer night trip across Nebraska and it paid off.

Windshield wax like Rain-x or Castrol makes one too. Makes clean up very simple!

vegetable based spray on the front end is my vote. I am a advocate of using Rain-x too.

pour club soda on windshield. takes the bug off without putting grease on it.
