Boost Gauge Install
I've tried the search feature, but couldn't find anything helpful. Does anyone have a write-up on the installation of a boost gauge? I purchased the TRD boost gauge back when I bought my S/C, but the dealer I had do the S/C install wanted a ridiculous amount to install the boost gauge. I figured I would just do it myself, but have never gotten around to it. My gauge didn't come with an install manual of any kind, so I have no idea what needs to be done. Can someone who has done this post a write-up? Thanks for your help!

I do not have a write up, but if you visit my supercharger page you will find an explination as to where the boost port is on the supercharger that you must connect it to.
I am sure that if you contact TRD they will, or should provide you with a copy of the installation guide to go with their product. There really is not much to it. Just run the nylon hose through the firewall and connect it to the boost port. Mount the gauge and then run the hose to the back of the gauge and connect it. When you have everything finalized tighten down the compression fittings and that takes care of the gauge. Connecting the wires for the light is a bit more complicated and you need to connect both wires to the reiostat in the dash. One must be connected to the wire that will be 12+ hot when the lights are on, and the other to the variable ground through the reiostat that will control the intensisty. Brass
I had a similar dilema. What you will need to do is go to an auto parts store (I like Pep Boys), and get a brass T that will screw into your boost port on the back of the S/C. On one side of the T, connect the FPR with the necessary brass piece, and on the other side, connect the boost guage with the necessary brass piece. Mine works fine, but it did take some time looking around to find the right brass pieces that I needed. I used 4 brass pieces, including the T, to make it work. I *think* the boost port needs a 3/8" connection, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks guys! As usual, I'd be lost without Gadget's wisdom and guidance. I'm going to call TRD and see if I can get a copy of the install manual. Thanks again.
