Body Lift Reccomendations

Ok, In about 2-3 months I plan on doing a 3 inch body lift to my truck. My reason for going body is because suspension for a IFS is too expensive and if I decided to go with a solid axle later I wont have that much money invested in a lift and might possible be able to use the body lift after a solid axle swap.

So what I'm lookin for is for reccomendations on who to go with for the body lift. I was looking at 4crawler if i remember right and a kit from jc whitney. What I want is a kit that has everything in it so that I can minimize down time and having to run to the auto parts store every hour.

Any opinions or experiences?

Hey Krash-

Performance Accesories brand is one of the most common/popular ones. I had good luck with one on an old ford truck years ago. These guys have a few and are really good to do business with, IMHO. Good luck!

Well To be honest, I was looking at Roger Brown's Kits. The only thing that keeps me from wanting to get his kits is that the lack of stuff in them. Correct me if I'm wrong but there isn't a bumper bracket in his kits. Plus the kit that loose head mentioned has the steering extension in it also.

Please Correct me if I'm wrong, I would love to go with someone that is reccommended by the forum. I'm just looking at the easiest way to get the lift done right the first time. If I have to pay a couple extra dollers for it I will.

roger has all of that stuff. for your truck, i'm pretty sure the steering is extended by drilling out pins in the column and extending it. and i know roger makes bumper brackets cuz i've seen them.

email him and he'll reply before you can blink an eye with all the info you'll need. tell him what all you're looking for and how much a kit like that will cost.

Alright I'm going to do that sometime today or tomorrow.

Roger Brown, no other names needed.

He has all the stuff you need and if he doesn't have it, he likely can make it or point you in the right direction. Professional and punctual responses on questions big and small, not to mention you are supporting someone in the sport.

I have his 1" kit on my 95. Quick, easy, well worth it.
