Best place to buy drivers side window?

My drivers side window tint has gone to hell for some reason and I don't know why. All the other windows are great but the drivers side looks like a dirty film that is all smudged up .
I bought my 01 ,4x4, extended cab Tacoma used from a dealer a few years ago and I'm just assuming that the windows are factory tinted and I want to replace it with the same tint even if it means buying the whole glass already tinted. The back panel windows and the rear window is really dark.
I tried a couple places like the Toyota junk yard on the net but they only list motors and no glass. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Mike

I wouldn't assume that your front door tint is factory. Most OE front door tint is fairly light, almost not visible.

Can you see the edge of the tint film at the adege of the windows?

If so, then it is aftermarket tint and sounds like it needs to be re-done.

If not then ???

My side windows in the front "on the doors" is very light but the side windows for the passengers in the extended cab are almost black as well as the back window and slider. Mike

You can try http://www.car-part.com/ .

That is where I found a red hood for my son's 92 Tercel (came with a dented green one...). Much easier to buy it in the right color (faded Toyota red :)) than painting it a shiny red and try to make the rest of the car shiny...

Thanks Hupptoy, I'll check them out. Someone told me that I should not use windex on any tinted windows and that's what caused my problem. Have you heard anything like that? It's news to me as I have used windex for years on all my vehicals. Mike

Never heard about not using windex on tinted windows. But it does kinda make sense for aftermarket tint films as it may react with the adhesive.

As far as the windows go, factory tint is *in* the glass (actual tinted glass, and not a coating) so you can use whatever you want to clean them. So you may have tint film on your front door window if it starting to look bad. Factory tint cannot smudge.

Maybe go by a tint shop and have them take a look to tell you what is going on.

It is hard to diagnos without being there or seeing pics.
