ARB bull bar w/ SAS

ok i searched for this and the question was asked once before but got no replies. im wondering what modification im going to have to make to my bumper to allow for the welding of the front spring hanger? a lot of you guys have the ARB here and know that the bracket wraps around the bottom of the frame rail to mount on. do you think id be able to cut off the bottom mounting plate and maybe drill holes into the side of the bracket and into the frame and be able to mount it that way? any ideas would be great thanks

Did you check out Shane's swap. I'm pretty sure he found away around it.

Its been a while since this thread has been active, but I am curious too. What about a bull bar off an 84-85 rig? I mean for a 86-88 truck/86-89 4runner. The mounting bolts are the same, 6 on the front, none on the sides (like the 89-95 pickup/90-95 4runner). Wouldn't that work, unless it wraps under the front frame rail? I am just going off pictures I have found on the internet and looking at my 88. FROR sells the frame brace that fits 84-88 trucks/84-89 4runners, which leads me to believe that the bumper mounts are the same. Does, anybody have pics of an 84-85 bull bar?
