Planning on finally putting the lift parts on my wifes 4 runner tomorrow. She was at a traffic light and some guy pulled up next to her in a jacked f-350 harley davidson and she got big truck envy. So she put the screws on my to git-er-done.
Only thing I am missing right now are shocks. I am hoping to use the land cruiser shocks but I want to know if they work ok. i have searched a lot and seen it mentioned but not to much else.

nevermind, answered my own question. Put them in this morning and they seem to work fine. Not sure if they will limit flex though...

I've got OME landcruiser shocks in the rear... But, I have 9 wrap coils plus 1" spacer in the rear.

Why would you think they would limit travel? They are going to be a lot longer than your 4runner shocks.

I think I get too much travel from the rear with them heh.

I thought I read that somewhere on yotatech. That is why I was so hesitant to do it in the first place (use LC shocks) I have been driving around for a couple of days now and they are firm, which is nice considering the lift I got out of the ass end, something like 5". I had really saggy soils before. Putting rims and 315's on tomorrow, it will be like christmas.

LC80 shocks are MUCH longer than 4Runner shocks. So much that they can cause the axle to over-articulate and allow the driveshaft to contact the gas tank, and rip the sway bar right off the axle. Ask me how I know.....
