Anyone have a 2000 4runner Factory Service Manual?

UPDATE! Found a site will ALL Toyota FSM's! for FREE!

http://rapidshare.com/users/4NH9R4

Just try to make the first one you download the one that you need, you have to wait 10 mins for each of the next ones.

Ok, with me doing more and more work on my truck the need for an FSM has become bigger.

So if anyone has an FSM for a 2000 4runner PLEASE let me know. And yes i have seen the ones that are online for the tacos, but it seem that everything i try to look up in those is not in them...

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I find my Haynes manual pretty handy for my 2000.

Yeah i *HAD* one, but it was stolen along with the rest off my tool box from my truck last year. I will give it that it was pretty good but there were quite a few things that either were not quite right or just plain wrong. If i can't find an FSM i will just buy another one though.

There was someone awhile back in a thread far far away that provided a digital copy of the FSM I believe. Not sure if it was a pdf, but I just recall the thread. Might want to look into it. I just grabed one off ebay a few years back

Yeah, i know which one you are talking about, that is the taco FSM i was talking about, the problem is that is for a taco and not a 4runner and for some reason doesn't have anything i really needed.

I have it in PDF sections I could email you the specific pages you require. It's too big to email the whole thing. PM me

Great find TA..Oh yea, I finally bought a pair of SilBlade and it rained last week and let me tell you, those babies worked way way way better than the PIAA Silicone that I had.

I found a 2000 Toyota 4Runner FSM on ebay for like $80 awhile back, if you keep checking ebay once in awhile, you can find one for pretty cheap.

I will keep looking, though really after messing with the FSM i just got having it on the computer is nicer if a way since it is easier to search.

And yeah, those silblades really do work, after awhile you will notice water beading on your window and you won't even have to wipe as much.

Yeah, i saw that too. But that is a lot harder to work with after you have it downloaded and no way i would spend $10 a day to use it when i would need it off and on all the time.

Now i would not mind buying a paper FSM if i can find one but for a computer version, the rapidsahre versions above are perfect for me.

harder for YOU to use maybe
you and computers don't work well together

for s sake I am trying to assist. sounds like you want it all done for you.

I find it easy to download and catalog anything from that site

try a computer 101 course at the local adult ed center

I don't know where you are coming from at all, i simply said i had seen that site but there is no way i am going to pay $10 a day to use it. It would eat me alive inside a month.

And if i was going to download everything anyways why waste the $$$ on something that i have to download all the pages and then orgonize them myself? when i can download 1 file that already has everything downloaded for me and a cutom header page that lists all the pages and makes it easy to search and find what i need in a hurry?

It comes down to although i could download all the stuff, why waste my time when it has already been done? Quite nicely i might add.

Oh, and i know more about computers then 99% of people. I have worked with them since Dos 3.0 and for many years fixed/build computer for a living. I have also done IT tech work, am A+ certified (yes i know that is not a big deal). and can do anything with hardware and almost anything with software.

oh yeah, I also GAVE computer 101 courses to people in my spare time....:nerd:

It was nothing agienst you personally, Why take it personal?

BigBallsMcFalls 05-01-2008 02:04 PM

I am just being my ordinary, douchebag self. no harm intended.

I count myself lucky to have accessed that site for 10 beans
and over two days (and maybe 3 hours work) I have
8 cataloged sites. 5 of them are 1999-2001 4runners and
Highlanders, all sorted and pdf and indexed

and then I have 3 more with 2005 model and up 4runners which
are httracked and indexed. all I had to do was make one macro,
and then edit headers, and ran my script and only had to
interfere manually when the page was not loaded within 5 seconds.

so I had no issue making manuals. it did take a lot of script and macro
writing for the first one.

anyhow...10 bucks. all the possible info you could want

Revival - I need a page or two from the FSM of the 2000... if I cant find it eventually, yes, I will just pay online. I'm looking for the pin/wire on/for the ECU that is grounded when the RR diff lock is engaged that then disables ABS. I really want to get rid of the ABS selectively, and not going the route of removing the fuse and cutting the ABS harness in the engine bay.
