It was the alternator
I had the engine running and washed the heck out of the alternator with a garden hose. I guess I didn't clean it as well as I though. A LOT of dirt came out of it. Anyhow, the bucking and what not went away. Thanks for suggesting to take a look at that component guys!
She's still going to my bud's dealership afterwork today. Just to get the alternator and battery checked and get an exhaust leak fixed. I'm just happy she's back on the road again!! |
Oh ya,
You off-roading gurus. What do you have/use to protect your alternator from crapping out when you hit mud and stuff? Is there some kind of shield or sealed alternator? Or do we just have to suck it up? Thanks... |
Bump/ Id like to know as well
|
Nothing! just romp on the gas! haha! it's part of having a off-road vehicle....there's no real way to protect your alternator other then stay on the road which is not fun! :barf: You can't cover it or you'll burn it up. But glad to hear you got your yota up and running again! :woo:
