Alpine CDA-9813
I just ordered my new head unit :) The Alpine CDA-9813. I know a few guys have this unit from reading the posts...so I was just curious which route you took to run the power cable to the battery? I took the stock head unit out and was looking around, but I don't see a hole in the firewall nearby. I am guessing behind the glovebox somewhere? Any info appreciated!! Thanks! Other than that I don't think it will be that bad...Hopefully:bigok:

The best place is above the brake pedal, to the left. There is a gromet there that is used to run a sensor for the factory alarm. It also is on the same side as the battery.
I have a couple pictures from running my cb radio through here. http://www.net-impress.com/4runner/cb/DSC03691.JPG Dont mind the red wire, I added the hole. I am talking about the yellow one from my pyrometer, and also the "loomed" wire. Follow the loomed wire and you will find the hole. Very good spot. Dan |
Thanks for the info!!!
Thanks for the info. Did you use a wiring harness, for the wiring except for the power of course? Also what other audio gear do you have. I think it is finally time for a quality system!!! Thanks!

asudan96Runner,
That is one NICE picture! If you don't mind me asking, which digital camera are you using? Thanks, -- Andrey |
