Alignment
Hey guys. I have an '87 runner that I'm having some alignment problems with. It seems if I let go of the wheel I will drift slightly to the right. I just recently checked the air pressure in the tires and one was 40 while the other was 30. So I put them both at 35psi (recommended) and I'm still having some problems with the drift. I'm starting to get worried it's a little more than the tires and I am not excited about paying for some work done on it. Anyone experience this sort of problem, is there anything I can check before I would take it into the shop

As far as a check goes, it sounds like you already have that covered. You are going to cook your tires real fast if it is out of alignment. It is prbably a little squirly too. It's worth $40 to get it done. That's one of the first things I did when I got my 91 runner. Just make sure you see a specialist because I lot of the tire places don't have a clue when it comes to non stock tire sizes and they sometimes make it worse.

You know that roads are crowned to shed rain, and as a result vehicles will normally drift to the right.

Call your local 4 wheel drive shop and ask them who they recommend. The "chains' are rarely any good, they just go by the book. Find the guys who really understand the stuff.
