Abs

As you may have heard, the NorthEast got a touch of snow latley. First off, the 4Runner performed terrific. Even outperformed a Hum V, ha ha ha. Anyway, A couple of time I hit the brakes to stop, and began sliding. I get this big crunching sound. ABS? Really didn't do much. But since I was in snow, should I expect a lot from ABS? Or would that be more on wet roads or emergency situations? Is that crunching sound normal?

Also, I am going to rip out that damn alarm that tells you that you are skidding. NO ˟˟˟˟˟ I AM SKIDDING. I don't need an alert to scare the hell out of me while I am focused on the matter at hand; to keep from sliding into another vechile. Any ideas on how to disconnect the alarm?

Didn't know the new ones had that feature. That must be for the drivers who believe it or not don't know it when they start to skid... ahh scary man

It also takes all the fun out of doing a little fish tail on purpose, you know?
