99' 4runner enging ping
 

i have a 99' sr5 v6 stock 4runner with auto trans.
my problem is that my engine pings really bad at acceleration with regular gas and moderately when using the middle grade gas. my check engine lite keeps coming on setting the bank 01 lean code. could they be related?
and does anyone have any solutions?

Did you do a tuneup?

try a different brand gas possibly top tier gas?

Run some bg44k.

cel registers bank 1 lean, i clear it but it comes right back

Do more than clear it then. Clearing it isn't a fix. Find out what potential problems could be and trouble shoot it.
