94 4Runner with 4'' suspension lift, what kind of spacers?? plz help
hey guys, before putting Superlift's 4'' suspension lift on my 4Runner, it sagged pretty bad in the back. And now after the lift it is still sagging. So my plan is to get spacers for the rear and crank the torsion bars a little to gain some more height while doing this. I don't really know much about spacers, can anyone help me out and give me a name or link of what i should be using?? And how many inches can you go with spacers?? I figured i would buy 2-3" rear spacers, then if its too much and the back is higher, crank the t-bars.
Any help/input is really appreciated, cuz as soon as i know what to get i'm gonna do it

I'll be doing this to my truck. I have the pro comp lift though. To take care of the rear, try these. http://www.allprooffroad.com/coilrear.html
The coil spacers.
For the front, I wouldn't crank the torsion, that will make your truck ride crappy. Try these instead. http://home.san.rr.com/sdors/SDORS%20spacer%20page.htm
Good luck!

Wait a second.
$150 for new 2.5" rear spacers or $150 for new coils so you don't have to mess with the coils separating from the spacers and wanging around.
The smart money is on the new coils.

I already have the superlift coils on though, and wanted to keep all the superlift components on. And new coils would be 5.5", and i think i'm gonna need more than a 1.5" gain to even the runner out.

yeah, i was gonna buy new OME coils too and do without the spacers, but I got the spacers for $75 compared to the $150 or whatever the coils cost. In the future I do want the coils though. Anyways, yeah, I'm having rear driveline issues too. I installed a Tom Woods custom driveshaft with a dual cv joint in it and it didn't even fix my bad shaking problem. It only shakes at like 10 mph and then at about 65mph. But, I just bought some Downey adjustable upper links that I should have next week to fix the pinion angle problem. Oh, and I was already having the pinion angle problems before I installed the coil spacers.

I figured I should post in here seeing as I've just delt with this same issue... the magic 5.5in coils that allpro sells are OME860's which are too tall to be used with a superlift 4" kit without modification to a bunch of stuff... My runner with a 4" superlift kit sags about 1.5" down in the rear, when I put the 860's on the rear was about 2" higher then the front, which is too much without getting work done to the front, unless you like your rig "stinkbugging" all the time..
If I had stayed with those coils I would have had bad driveline issues, I'd need new rear shocks(the superlift ones aren't long enough), I'd need a new panhard mount(the superlift one isn't long enough)... I could have gotten those front balljoint spacers to even out my runner at about 5.5-6".. but it will be more then $500 for all the parts someone with a superlift kit will need to go from 4" to 6" the right way... unless of course you don't really want to wheel, then just buy some big spacers, crank your bars and live with the super crappy ride/driveline in the gastank.
I decided that untill I have alot of money lying around to buy all the needed parts and a new driveline, to just go with 1.5" spacers on top of my superlift coils... that way I could use my same shocks, no panhard adjustment is needed and your driveline should still be long enough. I bought daystar spacers but the downey spacers Doink has will work too.
Hey blackrunner, how much were those downey upper links? I don't see them listed on the website.

I did it and those OME860 are great. The truck is leveled with the front. I'm going with 9012 shocks.

Mikronized, I got those Downey links from a member on the board here. I haven't got them yet though. They should be here next week. I was looking through the Downey catalog and they are in there for $249, but I got them, a set of 3.25" coils, 1.5 spacers, and 2 new shocks from Downey for like $200. I figured I couldn't beat that with a stick. The coils and shocks are going on my little brother's 2nd gen. when we buy it next week, but the spacers will prob. be for sale.

that pic is with stiffer springs ...I got it to come down a bit with OME 860. The rod is pretty much parrallel to the axle now.
I got downey on right side and AllPro on the other.
