89-95 2wd corner lamp questions
Ok, quick question that I can't find a straight answer to. 89-95 2wd truck's corner lamps, I keep finding vendors listing 3 makes. 89-91, 92-95, and finally 89-95. Was their any difference in the design, connections, bulbs, look, etc?
I only ask because I aquired a set of Hannemann fiberglass 2wd 89-95 flared fenders and need to pick up a set of corner lense's to get this installed. I want to make sure I don't buy the wrong set. The fenders were a real bargin (almost free, lucky me) except now I need to purchase the lights to get them installed. At least I knew this before I picked them up.
A quick response is much appreciated and always Thanks yotatech community.

Update...No change....I did some more research and many places sell the corner lamps in 89-91 and then 92-95 variety. I still can't get an answer as to what the difference may be in these however. If no one knows then I'll be contacting the stealership in the morning.
Thanks

Yep, they are different. The "trim" edge surrounding the edge of the corner lights changed. They are the same shape overall and will interchange though, but they won't look right with the headlight trim if mismatched.

flamed, that is for the 4x4 though, not the 4x2.... the 4x2 has the lights, upside down i guess you would say....

This sucks!
I just got home and got off the phone with my local Toyota Stealership. NO HELP AT ALL. They verified for me that the 89-91 and then 92-95 do have different part numbers, but their is no distinguishable difference. All nipples and plugs match up, bulb openings match up, the area for the grill matches up between them even though the grill did change at that same time. Fenders are universal from 89-95.
I did appreciate the lengths that they went to for me in researching this. However I still do not have a clear cut answer. It just makes no sense. I stumped the stealership, (hey a new game idea).

But the way, funny especially after this thread that I noticed this weekend when I was putting in new headlights (projector style diamond clears) that my corner lights (aftermarket clears) are the wrong ones - they do indeed connect to the grill and the screw holes perfectly, but the style of the edge trim does not match the grill/headlamp trims. :pat: Now that I notice it it bugs me, but I never noticed it before so it can't be all that big a deal...

Thanks for the input
I just broke down and bought the cheapest clear corners for 89-95, turns out that the 91-95 look good. I'll start a new thread soon with pics of the fiberglass on and the corner lens
Thanks
