it would require alot of custom fabrication. Also, the proportions would be off. The 4th gen is about 4 inches? wider than the 3rd. Some large amount...
The headlights would be too huge for the 2nd gen, I think.

I would say it is an impossible mod and one that requires too much time and money. This is in the order of thousands of dollars.

Why don't you try to the 3rd gen front end instead?

this is actually what I meant.. I knew that the 4th gen is much bigger.. But I am assuming that it would be possible for a third to second gen front end swap.. any thoughts..

There is a chinese motor company somewhere in California, that copied Toyota's designs and one of their designs was a 2nd gen with the 3rd gen front end. I tried out the link and its no good.

I say don't be ashamed of what you've got. If it were a direct bolt on it would be one thing, but I'd just stick with what ya got and focus on a different attribute that would enhance the looks and save you a good chunk of change. I've not done a whole lot of body work in my day, but I've done minor fixes and even minor stuff turns out to be major headaches, and that's with stock pieces.
