4runner riding height

hi guys, i have a '96 4runner. it's riding on the same height on 3 wheels but the other one is riding half an inch higher(driver side rear). i wonder if there's a simple fix to this or is it time for me to change the shock absorbers? they are still original by the way. thx in advance. :dunno:

Shocks do not determine ride height. springs do.
did you measure with the gas tank empty or full...that'll make a differece too.

hi

Like anthony1 said, measure with an empty tank and a full ,that can make a difference. I don't think youre springs or shocks are the cause.Did you measure between the top of the tire and the fender or between the ground and the fender ?

thx for the reply guys, yea i forgot to tell u, it's not carrying anything on the luggage compartment. the tank is full at the moment. i'll try measuring it again when it's empty. i measured it from ground to fender so the flexing of the rubber won't differ the measurements. the tank is on the driver side though and since it's full, then when it's empty, the rear would be riding a bit higher then. still doesn't make sense to me.. :con: oh and one more thing, the tire pressure is the same in the front and the same in the back. 29psi up front and 28psi at back.
