4a-ge injectors in 3vz-e??

I have already searched, but was unable to find out if the fuel injectors from a 4a-ge (not 4a-gze) will fit in plaice of the injectors from my 3vz-e. for my goals, these injectors will work best, but i don't know if they will fit. Can anyone answer this for me? Thanks.

This a bit of a complicated question and probably why no one has replied to you yet. The answer is "yes" and "no".

If you get the pre '87.5 injectors, they will work, but you will have to swap out the harnesses......just a simple cut solder and shrink wrap. However, the stock 3VZ-E injectors are 200cc/min and the pre '87.5 4A-GE injectors are 182cc/min. Not a good choice.

If you get '87.5-89.8 with a MAP sensor....not an AFM....these are plug and play, but are the same 200cc/min as the stock 3VZ injectors.

I'm sure that what you want are the 250cc/min 4A-GE injectors, right?? Well, bad news on them. They are high independence injectors and will not work with your 3VZ ECU. I know that there are people that have put some sort of resistor inline on these to make them work, but I have no idea what resistor to get to help you on that. You would also have to slice in a new harness for them also. I do however have an easier solution. You need to find pre '85 22R-TE injectors. These have a different harness so you'll need to find these in a salvage yard so you can cut the harnesses out for them too. They are low independence and will work with your ECU. I have done this before with a 22-RE engine so I know that you can swap out the harnesses as long as you are sure to splice them correctly.

but the injectors that came out of my 3vz-e are high impedence (around 14, it varies per injector), so couldn't i get the harnesses and the injectors for the 4a-ge? According to several printouts i have, the 250cc 4a-ge injectors are the high impedence variety. changing the harness is no problem for me, as i have much experience with wiring in cars.

p.s. thanks for explaining the different 4a-ge injectors, i didn't know they changed through the years.
