2nd gen 4runner fuel tank as aux tank on a 3rd gen 4runner
Has anyone ever investigated using a second gen 4runner fuel tank (which is a passenger side tank) on a third gen 4runner as an auxiliary fuel tank? Both trucks have a bump up in the body under the rear seat and appear to be similar volume. If it would fit the extra weight would be balanced and more forward in the chassis than having a auxiliary tank mount where the spare tire is now hanging over the back end.
