1st gen 4runner newbie - A/C shakes!!
Hello all
Just had a prebuy done on a soon-to-be-mine 86 4runner SR5 22R-TE (yay!).
Truck was great except for a few minor issues (of course).
a) front suspension upper A-frame bushings need to be replaced. Looking around on the net, I noticed a set of factory bushings, and also a performance set. Is there a difference?
b) front driveshaft CV coupling cover is missing - big deal?
c) the main question - when the A/C (which blows cold) is on, the entire truck shakes... something to do with an "idle-up solenoid"? what's that? big deal?
Many, many more questions to come, you can be assured!
Thanks!
Cheers
Chris

A]OEM bushings are fine
B]Who cares, you don't need it.... nor will you miss it.
C]The idle up solenoid is the white knob next to the throttle body... turn it c-clockwise with the ac on til the shake stops.

Mine shakes when a/c is on too. What/where do you adjust on a 3rd gen? Thanks.
