1st 2nd 3rd 4th gen'ers - lifted v. stock pictures
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen'ers:
hey guys, i found myself parked behind another 4th gen this afternoon and took a picture or two. you can't tell too much from them, but whenever i see a 4th gen parked, i always want to park next to tehm to see if i can actually tell any difference in height. it's just one of those constant pulls that happens after you lift your truck (i'm sure i'm not the only one who does that!) and you want to see if yours is taller. anyway, i remember seeing some pics by 02Runner of his lifted 4th next to a stock 4th, and thought it would be cool to have a thread where we could all post those kinds of pics.
anyway, please post pics of your truck before and after your lift, or next to a non-lifted runner ... just thought it would be fun to see!

There aren't any of the same color in town... so this was the best I could find.
(That's my Yotatech vinyl sticker in the side window )
Here she is the first day I bought her for comparison:

Okay, I'll give this a shot.
The blue one is mine. Just a rear shackle lift and 32"s. The green one is about a 4"-5" lift and 39"s.
(I'm sure they both raise property values in our respective neighborhoods).
BTW, this counts as a 4Runner post because the green Xtra cab is on a 4Runner frame.

oh man, i love all the pictures you guys have posted so far!!
(and i didn't mean to disclude tacomas ... i'd love to see your pics too)
there is just something about lifted trucks that makes me smile. <-- like that, and sometimes like this -->
i'll see if i can find another 4th tomorrow and get closer to it so the photo will be at least from the same angle.

Here is a pic with my family's 1990 4-Runner (31x10.50 & Bilsteins, stock otherwise) and mine before the lift (sorry for the trees in the way):
We've never really had the ass-sag problem with that truck like most 2nd gens have. It sags a little but not like some that I have seen. And believe me, that truck has been used and abused non-stop since 1989.
And here is mine after the lift:
Sorry for the lame pic but it's the only post lift profile shot that I have.
Wait, found one more sort of:
The next time I'm home, Thanksgiving, I will get a better shot of my truck and our old 4-Runner.

I see tons of 3rd gen 4Runners to take comparison pics of every day. But, I don't want to freak someone out if they walk up and see me taking a picture of their truck. I need to ask the girl down the road from me if she wouldn't mind. Hmm...how would I start that conversation?
