Working on a 1999 4Runner Limited, Looking for a A/C component Part# as I have done some recent work to the A/C and found a broken ceramic sensor part inside the Evaporator Box? not sure what it does, and I don't get to the dealer very often if possible. Changed the receiver/dryer, Evaporator, and cleaned the Evaporator Box(evaporator was obviously leaking), changed Switching valve, added PAG synthetic double end cap oil accordingly to components replaced, added 2oz to Low line directly attached to compressor for good luck, evacuated the system 1hr, holding pressure for 1hr, added 20-22oz of R134A, (lost some in the gauges that would not go in the Low side for some reason on the last can), Gauges read acceptable pressure on High and Low side, compressor cycling properly, good cold air now, haven't ran it long enough to see it dripping outside properly yet., but still wondering what this part is so I can order it. It is the smaller double bladed connector in the pic that says 244 with the 2 philips screws holding it in place, has a ceramic cube on the other end, mine is cracked. not sure of its function or part#. Went to the 1997 Parts 4R I have and it doesn't have this part on the HVAC system of course, perhaps it is for the "auto climate control", i never use that function if so.
