1995 Taco, 2.7, dead throttle at half throttle
Good day everyone, I am brand new to the site.
I have an issue with my 95 Taco.
When it is cold outside, (@freezing), or wet, I lose power and have no throttle response at half throttle. If I'm gradually picking up speed all is fine. Any attempt at increasing speed gradually can only be done by putting my foot to the floor. At half throttle it sputters real bad and shakes the truck. Push the throttle all the way down and it's OK???
I have changed the fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel lines, air filter, oil & filter, spark plugs, cap, wires and rotor.
I do have a strong smell from the Cat!
Could this be the culprit?
Anyone else have this issue?
I have owned the truck for just over a year now and this has been happening since day 1. Truck ran great from May til November.
The truck has 420000kms (@261000 miles) and engine has never been opened up!
Thank you in advance for any help!
Greg
