1990 4-runner - unexpected additional fuel mileage
2 weeks a go I added manual hubs to my 1990 4 runner. I knew that the CV shafts would stop spinning and the steering would feel lighter.
An increase is power or fuel mileage was a hope but not expected.
Since the installation of the Aisin hubs - I have used 3 full tanks of gasoline,
I HAVE AVERAGED AN ADDITIONAL 1.5 mpg.
Not a lot but it helps - averaging 18.5 mpg now instead of a "measly" 17 mpg.
