So my tags are due and I needed to have my runner smogged, to my surprise It failed the smog test here in california (gross poluter) I was like WHAT THE!!!. Failed test reasons showed that infamous code p-1135 air/fuel sensor. Mind you that prior to the test my Trac off/Vsc trac lights were lit.
After doing some research in this forum I concluded that I needed to replace my air/fuel mix sensor. I replaced it with Denso #234-9002 which I was able to find on Amazon for $102.00 shipped. Replacing was as easy as 1,2,3. I unplugged the battery before starting my truck again just as a precaution and to have the computer reset itself (I guess). After 10min I started that puppy up... and voila, lights are off!. I assume the problem is fixed so Monday will do a smog re-test. Wish me luck.
