00 rear driver side window intermitent. Suggestions?
New to the forum and you all look like a wealth of info. Did some searches but it didn't quite get to my issue. Maybe the "hive mind" has a solution.
Wife's 00 4runner driver side rear window is being stubborn. Won't go all the way down or up. Here is what I have done so far:
Cleaned and lubed the tracks. Ran the window up and down with the motor out and it is smooth as silk.
Pulled the motor, cleaned and lubed it. Ran it out of the door and it feels very strong.
Now I put the motor in the door and it acts like it is sticking and then stops without running the window all the way up or down.
Ideas??? Thanks again in advance!

if the motors are compatible, would you be able to troubleshoot the actual motor that is suspect with another (confirmed good) motor in the runner? maybe using the driver's door/rear passenger side motor as the constant. sounds like a motor issue to me (as you've described it).
