Wow. That was a lot of reading. Good information though. Also from Blaze.
I would assume the people who are not having a problem with the spacers may be ones that don't do much off road and are not stressing out the new geometrical configuration.
When done simply for the looks and of fitting on a 33" tire I think the spacer has its place.
For hard core enthusiasts I'd say it would most certainly be the wrong choice after reviewing Blazes research.
So where does this leave me? Good question. My truck never leaves the ground. Does not have a heavier v8. Does not have 500 horse. Cruises alot down the highway at 70-80. Sees some trails. Doesn't rock craw. Makes many trips to the home improvement store. Wants to look good.
Ya. Spacers are still in the running. But always open for thoughts.

Haha sorry I know. But I'm with you. Honestly, I pretty much do the same thing. So maybe down the road I'll install them. Would you leave the upgraded torsion bars?

Yes, at this point I will leave the bars on and just release some of the tension.

Getting a few pics back from the painter. He's 85 miles away so its nice to get a few teaser shots.

Had to put new front fenders on due to the rust.

Bushwacker fender flares and misc.all painted....

It will be great to have the topper the exact same color...

So once I get the old Toyota back its going to look pretty plain with nothing on it. Looking for some ideas for graphics. I'm not really finding anything on here when I do a search so If anyone has some thoughts that would be great!
I've always liked the old Trekker graphics. Not sure whos this is but very sharp!

Would be nice to make it a little more modern...a little more curvy....something like this...

Maybe even instead of having the rear come up from the tire just continuing the strip from the front to the back. Also thought maybe the stripe could turn into saying SR5 TREKKER toward the end.
These are just some of my thoughts.
Love to get some ideas from everyone.

So I get a text from the painter yesterday...We have 2 rear passenger side flares and are missing the driver side rear. All are painted and ready to be installed.
So I called Autoanything and after 6 hours of going back and forth with them we finally settled on them shipping me a box of rear flares and splitting the cost. I'm glad they were willing to help me out.
Bushwhacker on the other hand when I called them to see if they would help since the mistake goes back further then Autoanything said these types of things happen all the time and there is nothing they will do about it. He said they get many calls every day with people needing just one flare for one reason or another but again nothing they are going to do about it. When a company buys the product from them it's theirs and no longer Bushwhackers problem.
Nice guys! I can't say I would ever buy a product of theirs again or recommend to to anyone else to buy their products.
Maybe once I get the truck back though I may be so impressed with their product that I will forget. 🤔

Just got it back!
Now to decide on that rear bumper. Chrome or black?

Received the bumper. Decided to modify it a bit. Thought the treads on the new bumper looked a little cheap so I figured lets see if the old original toyota treads will fit. With a little trimming...it fits.

Figured before the bumper goes on it would be a good time to spruce up the hitch...
