You swapped in Ford Explorer leafs? What modifications did you do to make them fit properly?

You have to move the front hangers forward like 5 inches, I moved the rear about 2 inches but it may not even be necessary if a longer shackle is used

The reason I chose this setup is the front mounts dont hang low like the chevy springs even though they are longer than factory toyota springs by quite a bit and the explorers are spring under from the factory so they come with a nice amount of arch. Over the past few years I have been quite pleased with the explorer springs and would definitely do them again.

Sweet ride! My goal is the same as yours, an all around capable rig. I just bought an elocker, need to get it installed. I will have to look into the explorer springs! sounds like a great alternative.

Since I kept on breaking fiberglass camper shells I decided to build my own camper shell from scratch and then tested it on the Rubicom and the Mojave road, it works great, details can be found in link below.

I just noticed that on the pic above if you look in the truck you can see me struggling with the steering wheel, doing the Rubicon in a day without power steering will sure tire you out! I do still prefer manual steering though.

Also, thanks for all the complements, the truck has come a long way

here's another from the Rubicon
