Nice build man. I love the turbo trucks, and wish I had that R151 for my swap.

You don't really want to run a VTA BOV on that truck. The MAF will get pissed every time you shift, since you are venting metered air. If you do install one, make sure it's a recirculating valve (diverter valve)

You may also want to look into an intercooler, top mount, or front mount. I bet you could get one behind the grill so it could be somewhat protected still.

I bet some research might lead you to a supra MAF, injectors and a CT-26 turbo. And hell, you already did the cometic head gasket and ARP studs.
You could use an AEM FIC to control it all from your laptop too.

Might be a bit much for a wheeler though...

hey guys its been away have been having horrible internet issues and a blown dif. in the daily driver so this project has been slowed down lol. the turbo is in i just need to get my oil cooler setup and new vacuum hoses(does anyone no where to get them for the 22ret?) also my friend got my a sky man. sas gusset pretty sexy.

Got a Greddy Type Rs bov from a friend how would i set this up right.

i found this picture of this guys bov and he doesn't have it recycling, i want mine setup right so it runs good what would i need to do to either setup the bov right, or is it possible to get the Maf/computer remapped/programed to fix the problem? i don't have much knowledge of bovs.

Huh, maybe the older flapper door style MAF's are less sensitive to a VTA BOV.

I'd say run it, and if it runs like hell on shifts, you know you need to plumb the return back into the intake, post MAF.

i haven't hooked up the bov yet, i was going to wait till i got it running first, make sure everything is working properly before i start modding. The only thing im waiting on before i fire it up now is an oil cooler from summit racing. its been kind of a pain finding the correct adapter bolts to make it all work, ill take pictures when it comes and part# for anyone else wanting a oil cooler on their truck, im ditching the stock toyota oil cooler that came on the 22ret, which is a joke anyway but yet i really hope for this truck to be running soon, i no i keep saying that but i really hope to have it going in 2 weeks assuming the oil cooler will come before this weekend. but yea its coming together

So heres the pictures of my oil cooler setup, its a flex-a-lite brand i got it from summit racing. Had everything i needed, if your planning on using this on a 22ret you need to get a fitting that comes out of the block to replace where the factory oil cooler bolt when in. Made in America

Kit came with everything

Installed In front of grill

Drove the Truck around the block a couple times was amazing, the turbo is so loud, spoils like crazy. Better than i expected. I would have a video up here for you guys but i still have to do some stuff to it to make it run right. It needs a egr valve, a thermastate, speedo sensor, and some other stuff, im having problems getting it running right so im still trouble shooting.

So once i getting it running, i still have to
*Change all the fluids(Tranny, Diffrentuals)
*Figure out the gearing, ( i think i already ready have this bascily done)
*I need new steering Knuckles, (i want to get the Trail Gear Six Shooter Knuckles)
*Get New Tires
*Wheel this ˟˟˟˟ hard
*Get some rock sliders
*Paint Job
