Well, it is time to close this chapter. A guy messaged me and asked just how "half joking" I was about selling Caitlyn. After 100's of text messages, a ton of photos, and one sorry excuse of a video call we struck up a deal. Last weekend I drove Caitlyn out of my garage for the last time and loaded her on a trailer to meet her new owner.

Both of us drove 5 hours to meet in a central location. We looked over the rigs and shook hands on the deal. Caitlyn will get to make incredible family memories and I got Agatha. She is a '83 Toyota based buggy that I'm sure will become a member of the family.

And she is already making herself comfortable in her new garage. LOL!

To be honest, it is pretty much done. That and IDK where I would put a build thread on here. LOL! If people want, I can keep this thread updated with Agatha pics.

She started life as an '82 Toyota pickup. The guy I bought it from got it when he was in high school bone stock. It is still running the stock 22R with propane injection, 5-speed, dual cases (2.23 & 4.7) with 300M shafts. Dana 60 front with 5.13 gears, lincoln locker, 35 spline cromo shafts, Yukon hardcore hubs. The rear is a 14-bolt with disc brakes, 5.13's, and a Detroit. Front suspension is 4-link with 14" FOA coilovers and full hydro steering. Rear suspension is 4-link with 16" remote resi Fox coilovers. The cab was cut at the bottom of the windshield and across the back of the cab, so it still has the original floor, firewall, and dashboard. The rest of it is all custom.

Got to spend some quality time in the garage getting Agatha ready for Rubicon. We need to be on the road in two weeks! I got the propane tanks mounted vertically (so now I can run two tanks), fixed the tail lights, replaced the headlights with LEDs, fabbed up an antenna mount for my 2M, and disconnected the stupid factory door buzzer. (It's the little things.)

I have some other small stuff to do, mainly for storage since we will be camping out of her for five days. The one last big thing I need to do is get a parking brake per TLCA rules. I was going to run a t-case parking brake, but both Sky and All-Pro are back-ordered. My only option at this point is to plumb in a ball valve on the rear brake line. However, I will need to add line since the brake line runs down the passenger side frame rail. I do not have the tools or the knowledge to do this, so I'm getting pretty nervous about it. I may have to call around and see if a shop will do it for me.
