Hmmm, $$ is good....working weekends and going to school is a bad combo for having time to work on Turbo....potentially.

alrighty well new development, cold he's having trouble shifting. before it shift smoothly straight from start up, not really passing 2.5 if that, now the first couple shifts my RPM goes to almost 4 in all gears, not stomping the pedal either. only on stop go. once i hit the highway and its warmed up the shifting is normal. i tried warming it up today (15 minutes) and it only had one tough shift, then was normal. any ideas? thinking stopleak is causing the internals to gum up?

Any more info on the shifting issue? The stopleak stuff can do nasty things for sure.

update: still leaking, but much better with the different fluid, shifts better, leaks less, still bad, but less. and the generic autozone brand is WAY more friendly to the wallet, a gallon cost the same as 2 quarts of synthetic.

The roll bar looks good on your rig. It's likely you'll spend more on lights than you did on the bar.

How goes it?

Like I said in the other thread. Very nice. Looks great on your truck. Wyotech and UTI are great schools. I have sent alot of my auto students to both of those schools over the last 9 yrs.

It's great to hear that an auto program in the high school is thriving. It's usually the opposite. States trying to cut funding for it ever way they can.

Yeah...in the last two years I was in high school, they got rid of our agriculture, auto shop and HVAC classes so they could spend money on sports stuff and a new dance studio... They get rid of the programs where students actually learn a useable skill and replace them with pointless things.

I don't know, maybe I just don't get it...

EDIT: Nice roll bar BTW. Do you have any plans on connecting it to the frame to actually make it functional?

It truly is very sad. It's happening all over the place. I grew up in PA and went to teaching school there. Then taught auto in Illinois before it got down sized and now teach in Iowa where they are cutting us down fast. It's crazy. Takin basic skill away from students like auto, woodworking, plumbing, building tech.... And replacing it with more art classes or music classes.

When's the last time you called someone to come fix your painting on your wall.

Sorry for the rant.

Please more pics of the sweet truck.

no problem for the rant, i couldn't agree more, I was lucky. The automotive ROP class at my school had been active and thriving for over 50yrs, we had accumulated 3 lifts, a paint booth (art classes would come to us lol) old school cars to work and learn on (55 2d chevy all original, 4 65 mustangs, 67 monte carlo, 72 cutlass, 68 opel, and a couple others) that they can't close the program since it holds so much value to the school. and since its a small community and all our grand parents got to take auto there, and with all the car shows in Monterey, and races in Laguna seca, we would volunteer and get all the money we needed for tools or parts the school doesn't have to fund the auto program (never had to pay to get into auctions or races), and we took over the robotics program to help out with the "advancing technology in school courses" or whatever it was that made "auto classes out of date"

That's awesome. I wish I was in an area that was that involved with the school.

Nice action shots of the install. The truck looks great. I love the color!
