1988 Toyota SR5 turbo

So I bought my little SR5 some time ago and loved the fact that it was a turbo. Unfortunately being a speed freak I wanted to squeeze more out of my little toy. So after having put in a gt25r kit some time ago I decided to upgrade to a turbo curve closer to the stock(because it was much more fun). The origional motivation from it was getting that little kick in the ass when the turbo spooled up which was the first reason I loved that truck to begin with. So now Ive bought the latest in the line of turbos to go into my truck. A Garret GT2860RS! Keep in mind I just had the cylinder head replaced with a mild port street turbo cam and slightly larger valves (.5mm or so). Heres the stats for those who dont want to read my trucks life story.

Megasquirt ECU upgrade w/ 300cc injectors (for now)
GT2860RS turbo
2.5" turbo downpipe w/ glasspack muffler
stock 22RTE w/ LCE pro turbo cylinder head w/street turbo cam mild port work and slight larger valves
Stock R150 trans w/ LCE upgraded HD clutch

Mocked up and ready for plumbing.

Cant wait to dyno it. Probably wont run much more than 7-10lbs once its all set up with an intercooler. Once the stock rings go out Im going full retard so get ready .

You have to own a turbo at least once in your life. No other experience like it. Think of installing an aggressive cam and then think of kicking that cam in right around 3000 rpms. Makes a world of difference when climbing a hill or getting up onto the freeway. That and you get to hear that evil whistle as it spins up. As this being my first turbo car I have to say that I LOVE TURBOS!
