yea, from what i was told, back in the day if you ran the wrong type of antifreeze in a alum. block it would eat away the alum. Note, this was done way before i got the truck.
Not to mention the crack between the valves in the 2nd pic and the crack from the water jacket to the combustion chamber on the 1st pic.

Just doing some catching up. The backglass is one of my first changes if it doesnt have the sliding window.
On the head. I have had the same problem. I had some welding done on my water jackets and when everything was checked out and done, it came to $210. If I had known that I could of gotten a new head for $250, I would of went that route.

Busted the snorkel in half on an epic slide off the road into a tree. Then creased the driver door and tore the mirror off on another tree after sliding the other way. Snow was deep and kick ass. We had too much fun haha

I think it's time to revive this thread. The ol Rebel Rod is going under the knife.
My old man blew up his 22r again and this time there won't be a 22r going back in. He's finally decided to bite the bullet and drop a Ford 302 on in out. So we picked up a NWOR adapter bellhousing and clutch from a friend of mine that is severely changing the build on his Yota.
This thread might be slow going, as per the usual with the rat of my threads. Tossing around the idea of a mild build along with the engine swap. Small lift, bigger tires, maybe some gears. Nothing too outrageous, since he has another truck for that.
Mock up engine, should be in sometime this week.
