Glad you guys are enthusiastic about the 4runner , aussie blokes seem to run them to the ground faster than building them up to clear said ground. Good thing im irish

Aussie/Spartan Locker Front maybe something stronger?
Aussie/Spartan Locker Rear

4.88 Gears? 22r/Manual 4runner may become daily driver..

running 31's now, plan on some day going to 33's after I wear out these 31's and I have three other 31's in storage..

Maybe get another set of rims for the 33's and Street the 31's and offroad the 33's..

any ideas?

Over the weekend ..

removed oil pan gasket and replaced with permatex Black, letting it cure for 24 hours..
finger tight, then come back in an hour and 1/4 to 1/2 turn each bolt... fallowed the directions on the package.

Brazed on the Radiator mount that fell off

Tried to mount a pro-comp drop bar but its rusted together..

Changed about 200 diapers on my son

Center caps look great, that is about all they are good for..

I got some chrome ones for free, and spray painted them semi-gloss black

None on the front wheels, I think I had some sleeves at one point but I tossed em

Header install....

Out with the old 22r stock exhaust manifold, couple of the Air Induction bolts were busted in the manifold, leaking air, and the studs were loose and mode the rig louder then it needed to be.

Down pipe and all bolts came out easily, gotta love California cars.

Old Manifold

Air Induction tubes, Later style vs Newer style. Except that this one has two sets of tubes. All of the other ones I have seen have only one tube.

Two things here, one the exhaust manifold gasket will not sit flush with the rivets and the heat shield in the way. Two the Air tubes mount vertically to the manifold while on the old set up they were Horizontal.

Grinder solved issue 1

Diet Coke can solved issue two.. for now ( only real use I see for Diet Coke)

Round ports of the 1984 head

Oh no.. there is already a Heli-Coil there

Drill out holes, 13/32 bit and tap with supplied tap. Drilling was the scary part, the tapping went better then expected.

Heli-Coil

all new LC studs

All back together..except for the 2 foot gap between then header and the catalytic converter any notice no pics of a down pipe
