Sneaking new wires behind the core support was fun. Getting the old wire out was a total pain. They couldn't be pulled out by hand. Had to cut them up and take out in sections.

Ran all new cables to the battery box and had to track down a solenoid coil for the hydrauloc lift. Bed tilt is functional.

Also for the first time in 30 years it has turn signals. I built the harness into the bumper with a disconnect behind the valance. You can just barely see them hiding on the lower side of the bumper

Really like what you have done with the front running gear. awesome look from the front. Keep up the good work.

I know what you are talking about in doing a re-wire. I had to replace my whole harness in my '81 4x4, due to field mice addiction to eating wire

Thanks Lon. Yeah my issue is that the wiring wasn't good to being with and all the insulation was falling off everywhere.

After buying new 500cfm carbs, getting the valve covers, scoop and tunnel ram re polished then re chroming the shock hoops and headers it was starting to come back to life again.

I'm jealous of that big honking engine in your truck. Looks so awesome sitting there wanting to lay some rubber to the ground. LOL

Seeing it coming back together with the top end back on and most all the body together really struck a nerve. Still can't believe I own THE very truck. Even crazier finally getting to see it with the hood and bed down. I always wondered what it looked like.

This is bad ass! It's crazy that you managed to piece together all of these original parts from the different people who acquired them.
I notice there is a lot of custom work to the cab like the door pillar vents, door handles, side mirrors, and windshield wipers are all shaved. Definitely a truck built for going to shows!
Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see it driving.

Over the first few months i got to see more pictures of it from shows. Just loved seeing the hood and bed down since I never had before. Looked like a completely different truck

Had to track down an oddball 12v solenoid coil to finish the bed hydraulics.

Nice! A buddy of mine has a GMC Typhoon that he's slowly building into quite the monster.
