Thanks to everyone for the help!!! I sincerely appreciate it. As of this morning I got it running like a champ. I think it was a matter of timing, plugs/wires, and dialing in the carb. I advanced the timing a little more than 6.5 and that was key. I also leaned out the mix which helped too. No smoke, and it's running smooth😎
Next on the list is a new flexalite fan, billet spacer, and electric cooling fan. I wanna keep it cool with these crazy temps.
After that I'm going to finish my LED interior/bed light install.
I really want to put in AC...Tim at DOA recommended California mini truck...for a factory replacement. Anyone had any experience with this? He said I have all the hook ups to install AC and just need the parts. If anyone knows where or specifically what to get for this truck please let me know!! Thanks again y'all!

So I called Calmini and they didn't have the AC gear. Called a few others w the same result. I got a hold of the folks at Restoair and they got the goods...@$2100.00. Ouch! That may wait awhile.
For now I'm waiting on my Flexalite fan, billet spacer, electric fan, and oil cooler w/ remote filter setup. Want to keep things as cool as possible.
And some good news...I found an Aussie style front brush guard/Warn winch combo. It looks like it's in great shape so I'm pretty stoked. Gonna pick it up on Friday. Probably gonna add a synthetic rope and new fair lead...in order to keep a little weight off the nose.

Post 1st round paint prep.
I'm half torn on how to finish this:
1. Just clear coat it as is
2. Paint to match truck w/ a black or red drum
3. Original Midnight Grey w/ a red drum
Thoughts?

Got my next few weekends lined up...
Finish up repainting the winch (rewire, install synthetic cable)
Install new fan/electric fan
Refinish/paint fan shroud
Install the oil cooler setup (picts forthcoming-sitting in the bed of the truck for now, lol)
Install brush guard (picts forthcoming), remove to get rhino lined, reinstall brush guard w/ winch
Install LED bed/ interior lighting (will take picts of what I picked up)
Install shifter bushing (it currently slips outta first so I heard this should fix that...we'll see) (shifts fine otherwise)

Excited to see your next update, especially the winch and fan set-up. I want to run a Taurus fan that I've had for awhile. Can you post how you do the wiring?

Awesome, should be a great way to push a lot of air! Does the flex fan do anything? Or is it more for bling purposes? haha

So quick update:
The electric fan was a no go. Unfortunately you can't use both due to clearance issues. I may look for a much smaller version to use on the nose but that's not a priority at this point.
On a positive note, I installed the billet fan, remote oil cooler set up, removed and stripped the fan shroud (gonna repaint), and broke down the winch. Both the fan and oil cooler work great. The fan is much lighter and quieter than the factor one. The blade do have more surface area than the factory one so I would assume it pushes more air and the weight savings transfer to less drag on the pulley.
I'm going be painting the winch and fan shroud this weekend. If I have time I'll start stripping the brush guard. I forgot to take Picts of that and the fan installed but will do over the weekend.
I tried installing a new shifter bushing but couldn't get the darn shifter retainer out. I took the four bolts of the top and the side pin but it wouldn't budge. I think someone had put a make shift gasket in it at some point and it's not coming off unless I drop the tranny. Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks Lons81, funny I literally was reading your thread 30 minutes ago. Must have been using "the Force". Do you know if that system is pretty much plug and play or will it require extensive fabrication?

Couple of questions, why not just go with the electric fan? Also the location of the oil filter, won't it get oil on the fender when removing the filter at that angle?

Sure thing, the billet fan was quick and easy, and I already had it installed. The electric fan was still in the box and LCE was gracious enough to allow me to return it
As far as the filter, I mounted it there because there was already an existing hole threaded in the fender and fit well, and I didn't have to run the oil lines all over the place. The filter is angled down and once the oil pan has been drained the hope is that there should be very little, if any, oil remaining in the filter. If it does end up leaking oil when removed I'll have to relocate it. Thanks for the heads up though. Do you know where other folks mounted them? I'm always open to suggestions

There are a couple of fab projects that may be required. Where you take out the old heater unit, you will need to fab a mounting plate that goes between the new core mounting lugs and the mounting lugs on the firewall. The other may be to fab a mount for the compressor. I drilled the firewall for the new heater/a/c hose connection. I plan on using the 2100 Series unit, Part number CAP-2100 with electronic controls. I have already bought the control unit and a few vents, as you can see the modding I did in my thread. If you have any questions, call Tony @ 817-531-2665 ext 112. Hope that helps .

Thanks for the heads up! That set up is certainly less expensive than the quote I got from Restoair. Ill certainly give him a call! Let me know how it goes when you install it. Have you already fabbed up your brackets? Also, are you going to utilize the existing duct or do they supply new stuff?
Btw, I love what you did with your dash!! That really looks sharp!! I may pick your brain about that in the very near future.

Who makes the remote oil filer? Would be nice to have one especially on a 22re since it's all the way under the intake
