Lookin' good J
What kind of shape is your tailgate in? one touch? How about the bed itself?

I am chomping at the bit to get going on my build, but I have to wait until I get the garage built, and the driveway started. And this Spring will be jam packed because of workload, starting early in January. Gotta survive that first! I hope to have more time starting in May.

First trip went great! No breaks on the trail and didn't have a problem yet without lockers but that's still on the list! Tired gave plenty of floatation and grip on the snow and had good articulation and approach angles on creek crossings. My bottom leafs on both springs did twist and popped out of place but picked it up with a boom on another rig and fixed that quick. Pretty happy with it so far!

So I think something inside my drivers side door broke. It is unlocked but when using both handles nothing seams to grab to undo the latch, any ideas on how to get the door open in order to tear it apart and fix it? Thanks!

There is a link to download the FSM for an 83 in my signature, it may have door lock stuff in there.

Well after a long time of being busy and working on other projects I started up the 79 and pulled it in the other night, the driver door not opening was driving me crazy so I started with it.

Rolled the window down and popped the panels off a bit to where I could reach my hand inside and I found the lock was still locked even though the knob was fully lifted, or so I thought! Turns out the rod going down to the lock had bent and was hanging up on the door not allowing it to fully unlock so a quick fix and the door opened right up! Worked everything in there a little bit and everything moves freely now.

Also loading it up on a trailer tonight and hauling it to school tomorrow, gonna spray the entire engine bay and chassis with the steam cleaner to get all 36 years of oil and dirt off, will probably take a few of the other yotas and do the same, just one of the perks to having a key to the shop!!

Been a long time since I've been able to do anything to the truck and here, kept getting errors and wouldn't allow me to open any threads on yotatech, ran the truck a while back again and though motor had seized after it locked up, pulled it and started disassembling when I found a destroyed oil pump! Sheared two teeth off inner sprocket and locked motor up, pulled it and everything's fine now. Still thinking of rebuilding a 20r I have torn apart for a reliable motor.
