i bought this truck from southernz so if the pics look familliar thats why.. i wanted to do a post on previous work done to the truck and continue on to what ive done to it.

heres a pic of before anything was done to it by southernz

first off he he went threw all the wiring and lines and got that all straightened out and then took out the driverside floor because it was rotten

patched it all up.... and yes he patched the rust to the right as well drivers side looks as good as new now

then he went throught the front endand replaced various parts..



installed new hubs



and while installing powersteering cracked the old black grill and replace it with a 83 chrome with square headlights



then put a 3inch suspention lift under it to level it up



truck is really clean inside




soo this is what she looked like when i got her! paid $1,800 for it and got a warn m6000 winch stepbars and bumpers to go on it! i dont think i did to bad especially with all the work that has been done to it and all the stuff that came with it... first minor thing i had to do was change the slave cylinder and took it on a test drive! it spits and sputters a little but it seemed to run better as i let it run longer and i ran some seafoam through it... might need a carb tune not sure. back shocks are shot i noted that the first time i crawled in the back and jumped i bottomed it out lol and i noticed a few clanking noises while i was driving.. found out the u-joints are all bad looks like. then i peeled the seat cover off to find the seat ate up (the normal case for these trucks) pulled it out and sent it to my uncle to recover it. pulled it apart and tells me the back foam is missing so i searched all over for about a month and a half and found a guy with a bench seat with foams in great shape for $50 so i basically robbed the guy of a good seat lol! and that concludes all thats done so far ill be posting on and off as i am away from home but il try to keep this tread going thanks for all the views! and im open to any suggestions on anything so feel free to comment!!

he posted a link on here to his ad on craigslist thats how i seen it first then one day i was driving around and seen it parked in his yard with a for sale sign so i stopped sorry i beat you out of it but to be honest i wouldnt want it any other way lol its been my dream truck since i was 7 so it was a dream come true for me !

I seem to remember it had a Warn 8274 on it when I saw the ad. I asked if he'd sell the 8274 separate because it'd be nice on the 40.

ad says m6000 but im not sure i just stuck it in the shed when i got home and hit the road again so havent had time to put it on or look it over i know its going to have a paint job and new stickers going to see if a buddy of mine cant powdercoat it for me if he can ill ask him to tell me what it is! anyoyne have a spare warn winch handel or remote (whatever u want to call it) laying around that you would get rid of real cheap ?

yeah ive had a couple first gens that ive saved from the crushed but i havent been able to get them road ready again, i always sell them before i can do anything to them!

im looking fro a lower front valance in good condition and i need a warn winch handel or remote if anyone has one laying around they would get rid of cheap

well mine has no orignial speakers so im commming up with a way to build a box and radio den to sit on the floor over the hump in the middle ....will be putting a cheap sony xplod radio and some 6.5 sony cheap speakers then behind the seat ill run a 10' xplod sub ....not looking to have the best just want sound and a lil extra bass than just stock ill post the blue prints up later on when i think i have it worked out

well ive been doing some searching online and found these talking the price over with the guy now but im getting lower front valance , door pannels with the speakers and cover, mud flaps, pressure guages, and the center vent trim!

well ive about decided to just rhino line the inside with tan rhino liner so i can spray it out and not worry about staining the carpets etc. anyone know about what it cost to have this done ?

make sure you do it right or it holds the rust inside and its basically like covering cancer so it an spread, i would suggest it, its helps echo road noice, throw some peel and seal down and use a vinaly matt to fit like carpet

yeah im patching the passenger floor first then sanding it down a lil b4 sending it to a shop to have them sand it and rhino line it Professionally so i dont have to worry about peeling etc. they say they can do tan rhino line so ill prolly just leave it like that.

picked up some new u-joints $18 and a cheap set of roll up wrenches to throw behind the seat for $10
