Nice work! I agree on the console. Those door panels look like they're in great shape, did you redo those our are they original?

I’ve got to hand it to you cars-guy, for a young man your automotive skill set is amazing and your ambition is off the charts.
You remind me of me at that age. I grew up in the garage and i’m guessing you did also.

door panels are all original and thankfully in as good a shape as I could ask for. There is one small tear on the drivers side that’s maybe 1/4” in size and the bottom corner of the panel has warped and doesn’t sit quite flush with the metal but at a glance it looks mint.

On that console, It should have the type of plastic that it's made from cast into it on the bottom. Go to your parts store, or paint supplier, (here in Missouri my paint supplier is O'Reilly's auto parts) and get some spray can primer made for that type of plastic, pick up a 3M brand red scotchbrite pad or two, and sand the console down and spray it with the primer, sand the primer with some, oh 250, or 320 grit sandpaper, reprime until the imperfections are gone, then spray it with some spray can paint the correct color of blue, or black if you like that, I'd do blue. Maybe spray some satin clear over the blue to dull down the shine. It'll look brand new!

thanks for the tip, when I’m back in Cali I will do that for sure. I bet some high build primer will make it even easier
