Haha yeah I cleaned a bunch on the front end today. Was able to pressure wash birfields were so clogged up with whatever mixture of grease mud and grime! They are much better now all around. And I did all over the lower part of the engine as well. Much better. A clean work environment is a better one to work in imo

So I greased the drag link and steering knuckles today along with the 2 hard to reach zerks on the front driveshaft. One I needed the small tool, the other in that deep hole I was able to use my grease gun it fit in there.
The knuckles I have 25 pumps each. As I noticed the birfield balls were coated with grease probably from a leak in those felt seals.
I also tried to use a chisel to turn the drag link ends with no success.
I can't believe the drag link was so gunkedup I couldn't even see it had zerks on each end let alone those cotter pins.
not sure why the rear one didn't turn. The front I can't even attempt to as the front leaf spring mount is in the way.
I also worked on cleaning up the hubs.

how rare is it to have the original tool kit and in what looks to be new condition. Also the original Toyota 1.5 ton jack unused it appears.
what is that piece on the far left that resembles a "C"?

The hubs before I started on them. In one of the above pics you can see the progress. Slowly but surely coming along. Long way to go but its a fun journey.

I found one of those original jacks in a local thrift store for $5 a while back. Sold it with my 83.
I'd say it's not all that uncommon to find one of these with the original tools and jack, but it's definitely not guaranteed!
