Alrighty... so I fixed the rust hole with fiberglass and bondo. Looks like crap but it works...
Ready for paint...
Then lots o' stuff happened but I was too busy to take any pictures... whoops...
Among the stuff that was done:
I'm applying bed liner tomorrow morning, so I'll be sure to have pics posted.
Meanwhile, the hood and doors are being painted.

Here's the deal with the paint.... From a distance and in pictures it looks great, you can't really tell that it's rolled on. Up close there is an orange peel texture that I opted to keep. Mind you, this texture can be wetsanded down to a smooth shiny surface, but I figured that since this is for "mostly" offroad that it really doesn't matter. That being said, I think it looks really good, it doesn't hide body damage nearly as well as the white did, but it's good.

I had a problem with Cote'L Industries with my Durabak bed liner order, so I had to settle with Herculiner. Here is the first coat.
Much better than before. oh, and this stuff smells wonderful...
Now, while that coat dries...
...it's tune-up time!!

Sanding took forever for me too, and I had to get through three previous coats of paint... On that flat areas, I used a power sander followed by block sanding. On all the other areas I just hand sanded. I used 150 grit for everything. Some may say that 150 is too rough, but in this case it works well.

Well, the date kinda snuck up on me....
and I got the doors and hood put on,but not in enough time for pics.
In a couple hours I leave for USAF basic training, so I won't be back for awhile. But stay tuned in a couple months for the resurrection of my rig.
Wish me luck!!
