Fuel issue?
 

This is regarding a 2006 Mazda B3000, with a 3l v6 automatic

All of a sudden, the engine dies. It turns over for a few seconds, then dies. pushing the pedal does nothing.
happend three times now, the first two it cleared itself up after half an hour or so, third time not at all...
I'm thinking it's a fuel filter issue, as it turns meaning it has both spark and air, but wont keep running because of no fuel.
I'm thinking it's not the pump, because it cleared itself up after standing for a short time, guessing no automatic miracle self fix by the pump?

anyone care to shed some light on my assumptions?

(at least the 4runner still runs like a champ, nice to have the old trooper ready when the new shiny one needs towing!!)

Understandbly no interest in a mazda on this forum, but there are hardly any decent mazda forums out there, so I'll continue.

I changed the fuel filter, and the engine would crank but not fire. So less result than before...
After standing for a week, the car fired up again, and runs fine on idle. When I press the gas pedal, the revs dont go up more than a few 100's and it pulses. The exhaust is weak and pulsing also, the whole car is rocking with the effort, and there is no power.
I still think it's to do with fuel, maybe injectors? I had similar pulsing when my injectors were blown on the 4runner.. Ran some seafoam through, and it prodused a lot of lovely smoke, but the pulsing did not go away. I can only reach 3 from 6 injectors, the others are under the inntake manifold, so i'm not sure how to yank them without major surgery.

Suppose it could also be the plugs,I'll go check them now.

Any ideas are more than welcome!
