New Mountain Bike!!!!

New bike, yeeahhh!!!

Totally off topic, but this is big news to me. '04 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR for $1299. Got them to swap the V's for some Avid BBDB Five's. Also looked at the '05 Stumpys, '04 Giant VT, and '05 Giant Reign. Stepping up from an '03 Giant Warp DS2. Anyone want to buy my old ride or a pair of hydraulic disc brakes? Here are the brakes on ebay.

Where'd you get it?

Man..I JUST sold my Stumpjumper FSR XC Pro last week..nice ride!

GodwinAustin Mar 24, 2005 06:25 PM

dammit warner -you sold out...full suspension is for sissys

seriously though specialized makes a damn good bike....

the M2s and early M4s are some of my favorite frames ever...made in the goodold USA

not sure if the new ones are though

full suspension is da bomb. I've been hooked since my last bike. not that I've got a lot of experience with hard tails. Just from when I was a kid. But I'm hooked on full suspension for now and there's no going back! Unless I find myself a good commuter bike for under $50....

FilthyRich Mar 24, 2005 07:41 PM

great score. I agree with the full suspension. Especially when my front and rear can be locked :great:

I lived in Helena from 1976 to 1985, and off and on until 1994. My parents live near Clancy. I know about Great Divide Cyclery and have been in there a few times. Nice bike!
:great:

Thanks! I bought a bike when I was a kid from Great Divide Cyclery, and then this one the other day. Big Sky Cyclery is across the street from the Capital Hill Mall.

too bad we've had like 30 inches of snow in the last two weeks. Our March came in like a lamb and is going out like a lion. I'll be carving turns on my snowboard again this weekend, but the bike will have miles on it soon.

jacksonpt Mar 25, 2005 10:26 AM

lol... we are in the same boat. Not quite 30 inches, but... we just got a fresh 8" or so 2 nights ago. I'm hoping next weekend riding season will start - at least mountain biking season. I've been trying to road ride all winter.

He might be able to ride if he put a ski on the front forks. Helena has a lot of snow right now. At least a couple of feet in some areas.

i hear ya. our winter has been so messed up. I was bike riding regularly up through December. Then winter hit with a bang and we had two weeks straight of snow and cold. Then we had spring weather for a month or so and I was bike riding regularly again at the beginning of this month. Then winter again! actually it is quite nice out now, i'm sure alot of snow will melt this weekend. then we've got rain in the forecast.... good thing I've got toys for all seasons and conditions.
