Can the two round IPF lights be mounted directly onto the front bumper?

I don't see why not. The have a flat base w/ a bolt that screws up into it. Check out 4x4 Connection's website for a better picture of the base: http://www.4by4connection.com/ipf968higper.html

While these are not the best pictures to illustrate how slim this lights are, they do give you an idea:

EDIT: Round 968s have been sold.

With a fat lip bumper, you'd have no problems with room issue. I have had these lights about a year and a half and I really like them. You get a beam that lights up the sides and front and with the 100W bulbs in, its like daylight. Also its best to use your own switch and wiring as the IPF harness is good, but limits you in how you wire them. I used my own wiring but kept the IPF relay.

The 4 square 100wt IPF 868s are still available. Prices are listed in 1st post.
