WOOHOO... got new wheels for the 4Runner

Finally worked out a deal with a local guy (Hot Springs) I found on craigslist selling some 17x9 American Racing Mojave wheels with Simulated Beadlocks. Got the whole set, center caps, and lug nuts for $290! I don't think the lug nuts will work but hey, they came with 'em. Chrome center caps are flawless. The wheels aren't the chrome ones, which is fine by me cus these will be going offroad anyways. Think I'm gonna leave the wheels the way they are and get the rings powder coated black.. So, with that said here ya go!

only took a pic of two of them but you get the gist..

17s are a little big for my taste, and I'd personally prefer actual beadlocks but they look good. Especially for the price

nice job on getting a good deal... well i guess its good for DD since theyre only simulated beadlocks.

great find man, little tip though, just use spray paint on the sim-locks, its allot cheaper to fix it when it gets scratched...

I've been wanting some 17's for a while... and they're alloy so they weigh like, nothing. It was either find a good deal somewhere or get the 17" FJC wheels. I'll be going to different offroad parks with AR-TTORA and Razorback Land Cruisers but nothing serious enough to need actual beadlocks.

Bigger Tires and Aftermarket Wheels.. Which Spacers?

So I recently acquired some American Racing Mojave wheels for dirt ass cheap. $290 for the set, caps, and lugs.
Wheels are 17x8, 4.5BS, & with a 0 offset.

I'm getting some used 285/70R17 Terra Grapplers for now (cheap as well). I have read up enough about the bolt on and washer style spacers and I'm not worried about the safety cus people have their preferences and I prefer not to get into that. I know I wont be able to pull off this setup without spacers so I just wanted to know what the best option is here.

1) 1/4" to 1/2" washer spacer (1/2" - worry bout threading)
OR
2) 1" bolt on spacer (spidertrax, etc..)
OR
3) Enter your suggestion here _______ :D

I am not going to have these tires on for too long. Just enough time to sell my stock rims (got a couple ppl interested already) and 265 mud tires. Then use that to help towards new tires. With that said, I can either go two routes.. Yet again buy tires that will force me to use spacers that I already have OR I can buy some 255/80R17 tires and not worry bout the spacers. I think that size tire being that narrow will look goofy though and wont satisfy me, let alone will be hard to find in most competitive tires.. but Im willing to weigh the options here. Let me know what you guys (& gals?) would suggest. Thanks

3) Enter your suggestion here: Get 1/4" spacers regardless. Then sell the 17's for profit and buy aftermarket 16x8's.
