Plus the MTRs looks promise what they deliver;my friend has 'em on his '82 CJ and those things kick ass over rough and large rocks, the lugs are very aggressive and he says they are a decent on-road tire also as he has a bit over 20k on his and they just show slight wear.

Since you live in snow country you might be better off with the better snow tire. From what I read Revos seem to have the edge over BFGs in that department (not sure about the other brands). If you offroad more then maybe another tires is better depending on the conditions (wet, dry etc).
I got the revos and like them in rain and snow. I don't offroad that often and needed something that would work when I go to the mountains winter or summer.

WT has a set of Nitto's on his 96. I like them and I know he does too.

Lets not rule out Michelin LTXs if your not wheeling much. They are awesome in rain, snow, grip in the dry is incrediable, they are quiet, and last a long time. I went wheeling with some guys who had MTRs and Revos and could go wherever they went (was an easy trip though).

Yokohama Geolander AT + II

Check out tire rack for reviews on snow... there were some snow plows that raved about them. I know for a fact it is the best AT tire I have ever used in wet weather, and us here in Houston know something about wet weather. All I know is this tire handles like a street tire on the street. Handles better then any other tire I have used in water. Slings mud instead of caking like most AT. It has great off-road grip as well. The wear is a little fast, but I am going to end up getting new ones before the warrenty is up so the next set will be discounted!!! Also make sure you rotate these as they will start cupping after 3000 miles if not rotated.

I liked what I saw of the Geolander...but apparently they don't come in a 32" size.

Toyo Open Country AT's I have ran bfg's, dayton's, firestone's( )and and goodyears. Toyo r by far the best tires I have owned. 21k+ miles and still look almost brand new. They grip the red clay, slimy swamp muck, sandy roads, wet traction is excellent and climb over slimy rocks and stumps as well! Just my .02 (but what do I know I am just redneck mudslinger)

I have no experience using the Revo's but I have alot of experience with the BFG KO's...I was very impressed with them. First I had 20k miles on them with plenty of tread left. A few years ago in MD we got 30" of snow in one falling and I was the ONLY person on the road and didnt have ANY problems. I even pulled out a car that was stuck for about a mile and into a parking lot, since there was 30" of snow there was no way he was gonna get the car anywhere. Offroad, they werent that impressive but they arent a MTR either. I like the look 100% better then the Revos on a Tacoma, on a stock 4Runner I think the Revos look a little more nice since they have a slight street performance look to them. In all seriousness I cant imagine the Revo's being a noticable difference better in the snow from the experience I had with the BFG's...granted if you took a snow covered turn at 30 mph its gonna slide. As far as hydroplanning, I've never had any problems/close calls. In MD they do a pretty good job keeping the roads capped so there isnt usallly much standing water, but its impossible not to hit the occasional big puddle/small lake and in those occurances I've never had a problem....All this was on a Jeep Wrangler and once the tires I have now wear out I'm going to be getting another set of BFG KO's

Revos all the way!!

I've ran a lot of tires over the last 8 years and have to say that the Revos are the best "all around" AT that I've tried to date. My last set of tires were Destination MTs, great off road but didn't last long at all, were loud and were not good in the rain, well wet roads I should say. Before that I had the BFG All Terrains which were a great tire off road and in my opinion were fair on road.. I drive a V6 pick up so my rear end is lighter than a 4 runner. With the Revos I rarely even needed to go into 4H in the snow this past winter. Im not into mudding but for slow trails my Revos have been GREAT. Ive crawled through rock beds, shale pits, deep water, steep flat stones, loose dirt and some low speed mud holes "I don't like cleaning my rig if I don't have to"! Since my truck is used 50/50 and sees some high speed highway use I went with the Revos. They are very quiet and smooth at all speeds. I load my 4 wheeler and run 85mph on I81 for a few hours each month heading to our cabin then from there I drop the pressure and hit the trails. To call the Revos a "yuppie tire" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Thats like calling the MT a red neck tire! Like I said I've tried a lot of tires, the Destinations were sweet but I only got 28k on them before they were down to the indicator marks, the BFGs were a good tire, I tried an off brand called Trail Breaker AT they were OK till I loaded up with fire wood which caused one of them to loose a cord and form a bubble on the side wall. I tried the Rugged Trail which SUCKED and another off brand called Ultra Tour Sport SUV which looked like the Pirellis, they were OK for a cheap tire but I hit a shale pit and ripped the rears apart. You cant go wrong with either of the 2, the Revo does offer a tread where warranty where the BFG does not, the Revos do use a lot newer more advanced tread compound that does not harden over age where the BFGs do not, and the Revos are stated to be the roundest, truest AT on the market. Do the research and choose one or the other I dont think you will be disappointed. Ill buy the Revos again no questions asked! Yuppie tire, thats funny. Yeah that describes half of the guys on here right.. come on! You can see through my trucks bed! Yuppie tire, Ive never seen them on a BMW X5 have you?!!
