Tire Pressure Q - Toyo M-55 255/85R16 '04 DC Taco
Hey - I have a simple Q. I bit the bullet and picked up a set of M-55 255/85R16 today for my '04 Double Cab... after much apprehension I must say on first impression - they are great (and quiet too I may add)....
My question - simple pressure guidelines for unloaded vehicle and daily driving on road - does anyone have any input here? I have seen stuff all over the charts and they are rated at max of 80 psi... while they are donuts - i have them at 42 all around at the moment. I have seen posts of people keeping them in the 50s up front and about 8 psi lower in the rear...
any input would be greatly appreciated - thanks.

i would say try different pressures for a week or so at a time, keep track of it and see what works for you.
On my '05 Taco DC I had 285/75/16's. Traded it in 2 years ago, but seems to me that I settled at around 30 PSI as good all around pressure. If I was going to tow I would bump the pressure up

i ran 265/75/16 before at 35psi but thought that the increase in vertical without width (ie doughnut shape) would warrant higher pressure - after looking at wear i think i will drop it from 42 to 35 at least - same in back and front?
