New Lift, Wheels and Tires! Tell me what ya think?

I finally got my 4'' Rough Country Lift installed this weekend. I am running 33x12.50 Cooper ST Maxx on 15x8 Streetlock wheels. The only problem now is since the lift in the rear is 4'' blocks...it rides rough lol. Could I do the Zuk mod and replace the blocks with coil springs??

The lift blocks did'nt change anything but the ride height. Did you change the leaf springs any?? Change shocks???

If not, the truck should'nt ride any different than it ever did.

Zuk mod instead of blocks would make it stiffer than ever.

Maybe the front ride feel has changed, depending on what you did, but the rear should'nt.

You need a true 3 or 4 inch lift. I believe a zook only assists what height you have. Trail gear is a good place to look........Loose the blocks fast....

The shocks are the new rough country N2.0 shocks. I have just always heard that rear lift blocks make for a rougher ride. I thought maybe if I put in a long enough coil for the Zuk mod then I could retain the same lift of 4" but remove the blocks for a softer ride.

It's the shocks, not the blocks.

Looks good!!!

I like your cv angles (no homo) you must have a dif drop. I'm not a big fan of blocks but I'm also a SAS guy.

If ride is rough might want to check and possible lower air pressure. I'm at 26lbs on 8" width rims on 33x12.5x15. To flatten the foot print as it's still not full patch contact I still need to drop a couple pounds. The tire shop originally had pressure set at 40lbs plus. Suprisingly air plus really effects ride quality.

Thanks! Yea I never thought about lowering the air pressure in my tires... I will try that. Now I need some step bars and also a new skid plate because the OEM is too small. Any recommendations?

Ok so no to the Zuk mod for me lol and I will check Into some rock sliders. What about a front skid plate since my OEM one is now to small because of the new Lift.

If you can score some diamond plate, make your own. Be creative. This is my diamond plate from my IFS days.

That looks pretty cool! I will see what I can find and try and fab a skid plate myself. Last question... Are aftermarket steering stabilizer's worth it? I was gonna buy a Rough Country single or dual steering stabilizer to help with the bigger tires I have now.

What is the backspace on those wheels? That's the look i want to get on my 4runner and i was'nt sure how 33x12.50's would look on an 8 inch wheel. I plan on getting the ST Maxxs also and i think your pictures have definitley made up my mind on that.

The backspace on my wheels is 3.75. I am very happy how my truck ended up looking after the lift, wheels and tires were installed. The tires stick out about an inch or a little over an inch outside the fender. I love the Cooper ST Maxx tires and would recommend them so far. They have just a slight not loud roar going down the road and they look way more aggressive in person than in pics. If you have anymore questions let me know!

Truck looks awesome! I love the look of that wheel tire combo. How much did it cost you?
